TLDR? Check out our Perfect Day in Rockland!

Breakfast, Coffee & Pastry
Main Street is your must stop for delicious pastries and coffee! Rock City Coffee, Atlantic Baking Company are two of our favorites. Don't forget Maine's famous Rukus Donuts! They go fast!
Bagel craving? Hole in the Wall has you covered!
Want a full breakfast? Try Home Kitchen Cafe on Rt 1, just a bit beyond our Main Street.

Lunch
Next door to W&E is Clan McClaren with indoor and outdoor seating....we love the panini's! The Landings on the wharf (also open for dinner) Myrtle Street Tavern (word on the streets says they have the best clam chowder!) And don't forget the fish taco's at North Beacon Oyster (open for lunch or dinner with outdoor seating!)
For pub fare try Waterworks or Rock Harbor.

Dinner
Rockland has so many options! A few of our favorites? Grab reservations in advance for the reknown Primo! Thirteen Oak, Ada's, and Rustica, and In Good Company are our dinner recommendations!

Chocolate
Rockland is home to Bixby Chocolate manufactuers of delicious confections. (We recommend Maine's classic Needhams!) For small batch, hand-made artisanal chocolates that will satisfy any craving Olive Rose on upper Main Street is a must!

Lobster
Maine and lobster go hand in hand!
Almost any of the lunch and dinner options above will include lobster on their menu. That said, we love Claws right past Main Street on Rt 1 in Rockland. Take a beautiful 20 minute drive to Spruce Head and enjoy a picnic by the seasdie at McLoons Lobster Shack.

Picnic Lunch
Grab a straw basket from us at W&E and fill it with deliciously fresh made treats from Main Street Market on Main Street. Want to create your own seafood dinner? Try Jess's Market for the freshest seafood and don't forget a bottle of wine from The Wine Seller!

Markets & Co-ops
Fill up with healthy snacks and organic produce from Good Tern Coop or Fresh Off the Farm. Both also carry healthy beverages and an array of natural grocery items.
On Thursdays from 9AM-1PM join the Rockland Farmer's Market at Harbor Park.

Museums
Rockland is well known for it's art community and nationally known museums. The Farnsworth Art Museum has regular exhibits and collections with a focus Maine's role in the art world, including The Wyeths (put Olson House on your list of places to visit!)
The Center for Contemporary Art will intrigue and inspire with their regular exhibits.

Lighthouses
There are so many great lighthouses within a short 20 minutes from Rockland. Get on your walking shoes and walk the Breakwater to Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse. About 20 minutes from Rockland you'll find Owl's Head Lighthouse which will give you some Stunning views of Penobscot Bay. Marshall Point Lighthouse is a 30 minute drive down the beautiful St George peninsula. It's a relaxing and restful view with plenty of parking.

Views
In addition to the beautiful views from the lighthouses we mentioned, we also recommend a short climb to Mt Battie in Camden State Park, where all of Penobscot Bay and the town of Camden will lay before you. Megunticook Lake is nestled near outstanding cliffsides. Grab a kayak at Maine Sport for a loons perspective.
A gentle meander up Beach Hill Preserve in Rockland gives an amazing view of Penobscot Bay to Owls Head.
